Originally from upstate New York, Shawn grew up in a large family with six siblings, an experience that shaped his collaborative, approachable, and thoughtful communication style. He earned his undergraduate degree in Buffalo, New York, where he also led a campus-based service organization focused on community engagement.
Shawn later earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and spent more than 30 years in professional roles centered on advocacy, leadership, and organizational management. His experience includes strategic planning, bipartisan work supporting human rights, communications, fundraising, team leadership, and legislative advocacy, all skills that translate directly into strong client representation in real estate.
