We were selling our parents home that had been in the family for over 40 years and were struggling with the entire process especially because none of us lived in the area. Chris and Will were excellent and made the process simple for us! First, Chris' deep knowledge of the waterfront market in Southern MD was impressive and she realized the value of our parent's home. Second, there were several repairs/updates that were needed from painting to power washing etc and Chris and Will had a great team of contractors available to quickly fix all the issues and they handled all the logistics with the contractors as well. Third, when we received an offer, Chris went through it in great detail with us giving her input and recommendations which ultimately closed the deal. Finally, their communication throughout the process was excellent. Whether via email or text, both Chris and Will were always available and quick to reply. Not Even a Government Shutdown Could Stop McNelis and Team

We started working with Chris and her team at least a year before listing our property. They provided very useful feedback on our property, including strengths and weaknesses as well as potential investments so that we were able to hit the ground running once we listed. As luck would have it, a shutdown ensued a week after listing, which completely froze the local housing market. Chris and Will persevered, navigating us through the storm. When the clouds parted, Chris and her team didn't miss a beat and through their guidance we successfully sold very shortly afterwards. In 2017 my wife and I returned to Solomons from Florida. We couldn’t find existing homes that fit our needs, but major changes were coming from the new concept of Avondale Cottages Brokered by Berkshire Hathaway’s Christine McNelis and owned by Don & Jean McDougall. My wife was set on buying land from the McDougall’s Evans property bordering C ST and Sedwick and found a house plan she loved. Sold our home in 8 days with Chris’ professional recommendations. Chris has a solid reputation as the premier realtor for waterfront and unique properties in Southern Maryland. I know; I have now used Chris twice to sell a home in Calvert County. Additionally, she found a wonderful townhouse rental in a marina community that I enjoyed for the two years between these homes. Don't use Chris if you aren't willing to ensure your house is in top condition, read: investment and work. The result is being able to list a house at top dollar. After a few home projects, we were not shy about our listing price for 2320 Miles Way. We had multiple offers in 8 days and were able to choose the full-price offer with no home sales contingency... in a down market and over the holidays. Pretty amazing. Chris knows exactly what to focus on to prep the home for sale. As an example, we put new cooking appliances in the kitchen to increase the kitchen's appeal. She knew the market and was positive that a 5000 sq ft post and beam home on 2.6acres less than 1000 ft from a community beach on the Chesapeake Bay would be an outlier, not necessarily affected by the market downturn.
